Job Purpose
Key Responsibilities
- Application Management :
Manage the lifecycle of enterprise applications including ERP, HRMS, CRM and other business applications.
Ensure high availability, performance and reliability of all business applications.
Lead application upgrades, enhancements and modernization initiatives.
Define application roadmaps aligned with business goals
2. Business Partnership.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technology solutions.
Act as the primary liaison between business functions and IT application teams.
Recommend process improvements through technology enablement.
3. Project/Team Management
Lead end-to-end implementation of enterprise application projects.
Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and quality.
Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and vendors for successful project execution.
Lead and mentor application support and development teams.
Allocate resources effectively and monitor team performance
4. Vendor Management
Manage relationships with software vendors and implementation partners.
Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and support agreements.
Monitor vendor performance and service delivery
5. Application Support
Ensure timely resolution of application incidents and service requests.
Establish and monitor application support KPIs and SLAs. Drive root cause analysis and preventive actions.
6. Governance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.
Implement ITIL-based service management practices.
Maintain application documentation and change management processes.
7. Data & Integration
Oversee application integrations using APIs, middleware, and enterprise integration platforms.
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across applications. Support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
8. Digital Transformation
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
Support automation initiatives using AI, RPA, low-code/no-code platforms, and workflow automation tools.
Drive cloud adoption and application modernization where appropriate.
9. ITGC Responsibilities
Ensure the design, implementation, and effectiveness of IT General Controls (ITGC) across enterprise applications
Establish and maintain controls for user access management, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, role modifications, periodic access reviews and segregation of duties (SoD)
Ensure all application changes comply with approved change management processes, including impact assessment, testing, approvals, deployment and documentation
Oversee logical access controls, password policies, privileged access management, and authentication mechanisms in line with organizational security standards.
Maintain audit trails, system logs and evidence required to demonstrate compliance with ITGC requirements.
Coordinate periodic ITGC testing with Internal Audit, External Auditors, Information Security, and Risk teams.
Track and remediate ITGC deficiencies, ensuring timely closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions.
Monitor compliance with backup, recovery, business continuity and disaster recovery controls for enterprise applications.
Ensure application interfaces, batch jobs and automated controls operate effectively and are appropriately monitored.
