Job Title : Engineer-Imports Planning & Stamping (Area: Electrical & Electronics)

Job Purpose

The role exists to develop and validate electrical and electronic components such as Switches, PCBs, semiconductors, and wiring harnesses while ensuring manufacturability, process capability, and supplier readiness. It supports end‑to‑end component development through technical review, documentation, and coordination with internal teams and supplier.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications : Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE).

Preferred/Desired qualification : B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE).

Specific experience :

2–3 years in Electrical & electronics component Costing & development of Switches, PCB assembly, wiring harness etc.

Exposure to ERP Software working (Purchase & Inventory Module),

Good knowledge of MS Excel & PowerPoint. 

Overall experience : Maximum of 5 years. 

Key Responsibilities

1 • Understanding and developing Electrical & Electronic components such as Switches, PCBs, semiconductor devices, wiring harnesses, components. 

2 • Reviewing engineering drawings and schematics to ensure manufacturing feasibility and process compatibility.

3 • Preparing micro-level project plans for component development and monitoring progress with suppliers. 

4 • Validating manufacturing processes including soldering, PCB fabrication, SMT, wave soldering, and cable assembly etc.

5 • Preparing and reviewing technical documents such as DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, and PPAP documentation.

6 • Managing procurement activities for prototype and pilot lot of components.

7 • Maintaining accurate documentation, development records, and MIS for tracking orders and progress report to Higher management.

8 • Conducting supplier Systems & Quality audits, capability assessments, and technical evaluations. 

9 • Identifying and implementing cost‑reduction opportunities through value engineering, localization, and alternate sourcing.

10 • Coordinating with design, quality, production, and procurement teams to resolve design issues, deviations, and manufacturability challenges.

11 • Preparing technical evaluation reports, feasibility studies, and comparison analyses for new components or design changes.

12 • Ensuring timely communication and coordination with cross‑functional teams for project updates, risks, and issue closures.

13 • Supporting change management activities including ECN (Engineering Change Notes) and drawing revisions.

14 • Ensuring inventory control for prototype parts and managing sample flow between suppliers, internal teams, and customer.
