Shift Staff (Assistant Engineer)_Maintenance

Short Description

Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving production equipment and systems according to plans and schedules. To ensure equipment and system are properly maintained, effective commitment, cooperation and communication with relevant parties are required.
•    Assist in executing and monitoring in-house or outsourced preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for production machinery. Maintain trouble and preventive reports.
•    Respond promptly to investigate equipment failures, assist in diagnosing faults, and participate in continuous improvement efforts by providing input on improvements to prolong machine lifespan and prevent recurrence of breakdowns.
•    Assist engineering team for installation of new equipment or modifications to existing machinery. 
•    Work closely with the Spare Parts Point of Contact (PIC) to ensure the availability of essential spare parts and consumables. Report promptly any shortages or issues related to spare parts.
•    Follow safety standards and procedures, promptly addressing any safety concerns.
•    Observe 5S and housekeeping standards, ensure working area, equipment, tools, and stores are maintained. Make recommendation for improvement.
•    Alert immediate superior about any unusual occurrence, damage or operational issues that may arise, ensuring timely resolution. 
•    Undertake other projects, tasks and duties as assigned by superiors from time to time.
