Short Description


This position is responsible to provide general: support services to other sections in the organization.
This position aims to serve directly or indirectly providing services that ensure no disruption of operations whilst maintaining a safe, clean, and conducive working environment. Scope of work includes planning and execution (but not limited to) of Facilities systems, general infrastructure.
Maintenance, upkeep and critical parameters monitoring. He/ she is expected to contribute towards upkeeping current SOPs whilst striving for process improvement where possible.
•    To ensure all facility installation comply with local authorization legal requirements.
•    To work closely with Safety & Health team on daily maintenance work to comply with OSH, environmental standards and industry codes of practice.
•    To plan and manage plant facilities systems PM activities such as Electrical Power System (transformers, switchgears, electrical DBs, Standby Genset), Compressors, Boilers, Air Cond, Chillers & Fire Protection System to minimized unplanned downtime.
•    Conduct daily facilities inspections and escalate to superior for any irregularities or non-conformities.
•    Perform the functional requirement of DOSH, DOE, Bomba, ST Acts and related regulations for steam boiler, pressure vessels, energy or electrical systems management.
•    During emergency, to assess and switch off power supply at substations if found necessary (chargeman only)
•    Provide regular update on Facilities Systems Maintenance Status to Management timely and regularly.
•    To prepare reports as required by the management.
•    Liaise with Production and other departments/ section related to activities that will be affecting common facilities such as Electrical System Shut down, Fire Fighting Systems Testing & others.
•    Manage contractors on site so that they comply to Environment, Health and Safety policy during implementation of facility installation and utilities hook up.
•    Maintain and forecast on critical parts and consumables.
•    Monitoring of energy usage efficiency as well as propose & implement energy saving projects and cost reduction.
•    Improves function and reliability of facility equipment by studying performance results, identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
•    Prepare budgets for power/ utilities facility maintenance and upgrades.
•    Participate in Kaizen activities.
•    Ability to manage project, tasks on time with very little supervision.
•    To perform part of the Senior Engineer function in his absence as deem fit by superior.
•    Undertake any other projects, tasks and duties as assigned by superiors from time to time.

Bachelors in Engineering or Facility Management
