About the role
Reporting to the Head of Marine, the Marine Territory Manager is primarily focused on achieving wholesale and retail sales targets, increasing market share and providing consultancy support to Business Partners. This role ensures the effective promotion of the Honda brand, products and business initiatives within the assigned territory by developing and maintaining strong business relationships with the Honda Dealer Network, Press, and other Business Partners such as Boat Builders and Commercial/Government Departments.
This is a field-based role, with frequent travel required, including overnight stays.
How you'll make an impact
- Achieve set wholesale and retail sales targets
- Develop action plan for allocated territory, outlining sales and promotional objectives for the Dealer Network, Press, Boat Builders and Commercial/Government Operators
- Manage and coordinate sales activities, service, parts and accessories amongst Marine Dealers
- Maintain regular and detailed reporting including Dealer Network contact reports, Competitor activity reports and territory visit plan
- Support Dealers with showroom displays, local events and in creating ads to boost visibility and drive sales
- Support the Dealer Network in using daily tools, online systems, and management resources effectively
- Review Dealer financials, recommend improvements, and report key insights to Management as needed
- Maintain customer satisfaction Index CSI program for allocated territory
- Deliver regular training to keep Dealer employees current on Honda’s products, systems, and sales techniques
What you'll bring to Honda
- Proven experience in sales, account or territory management
- Passion for the marine industry
- Experience within the Marine and or Power Equipment industry and business to business (B2B) sales knowledge is preferred
- Strong relationship-building and consultancy skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
